• Job Description : The Erection Editor is responsible for reviewing, editing and coordinating erection drawings used for the installation of structural steel at project sites. This role requires strong technical knowledge in steel structures, ability to interpret fabrication and GA drawings and ensuring accuracy, clarity and constructability in erection plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Drawing Review & Editing :
  1. Review and edit erection drawings prepared in Tekla Structures or other detailing software.
  2. Ensure drawings align with project specifications, design intent and industry standards.
  3. Check for accuracy in dimensions, elevations, member identifications, section details and connections.
• Coordination with Teams :
  1. Work closely with modellers, checkers, fabrication teams and project engineers for clarity and issue resolution.
  2. Support project managers with drawing issuance and documentation.
• Quality & Compliance :
  1. Perform QC checks before releasing drawings.
  2. Ensure drawings comply with AISC, OSHA and client-specific safety and erection guidelines.
• Issue Identification & Resolution :
  1. Identify clashes, constructability issues and discrepancies in the erection sequence.
  2. Suggest feasible solutions and workarounds by coordinating with design and detailing teams.
  3. Update drawings based on RFIs, site feedback and engineering revisions.
• Documentation & Reporting :
  1. Maintain organized documentation of drawing revisions and approvals.
  2. Assist with project status updates and weekly progress reporting to respective team lead.

• Required Skills & Qualifications
  1. Diploma / B.E. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience in erection or structural steel detailing.
  3. Strong understanding of structural steel elements and erection workflows.
  4. Proficiency in Tekla Structures (Erection Module)
  5. Good understanding of GA drawings, fabrication drawings and 3D models.
